Welcome to my website! I am an illustrator & product designer based in NYC. 

I was born and raised in Korea. When I was 18 years old, my family moved to the states. I studied Illustration at Moore College of Art & Design and Rhode Island School of Design. I always loved to draw and design so I never imagined doing anything else for a living. For last 20 years, I had worked for various companies designing home decors, jewelries and greeting cards. I also had an opportunity to design holiday displays all over in NYC, which was the most exciting yet stressful job I ever had!. In 2016, my fun side project, a children's book story, 'The Very fluffy Kitty Papillon' was published by Disney-Hyperion. Since then, I have been working fulltime as a children’s book author & illustrator. I am so grateful that I get to do this everyday.

"Rotem Moscovich at Disney-Hyperion has acquired debut author-illustrator A.N. Kang's The Very Fluffy Kitty Papillon, about a sassy cat who is so fluffy that he floats. It sold in a four-house auction in a three-book, six-figure deal for North American rights, brokered by  HeatherAlexander at Pippin Properties, in her first deal as an agent. The projected pub date is fall 2016"  -Publishers Weekly - Sept 9, 2014.
